CIT Vericash Named Best Digital Financial Services Platform by Global Business Outlook.

CIT Vericash, a fintech platform provider serving banks across Africa, said on Monday it had been named Best Digital Financial Services Platform 2026 by Global Business Outlook, a UK-based business publication.

The company, a division of Toronto-founded CIT Global, said the award recognised the performance of its Vericash Fintech Enablement Platform, which it said is used by financial institutions in about 25 African markets.

Global Business Outlook, which issues annual awards covering global financial markets, cited the platform’s ability to operate at scale across differing regulatory environments in Africa, according to the company.

The recognition follows three industry awards the company received in 2025, including Best Digital Transformation Platform and Fintech Strategic Partner of the Year.

CIT Vericash said one deployment of its platform supports the digital banking operations of a pan-African banking group operating in 22 countries.

That deployment processes more than 500 transactions per second and handles over 30 million digital services daily, serving more than 7 million active subscribers, the company said.

Over the client’s first five years of full digital platform operations, the company reported fivefold growth in digital subscribers, tenfold growth in monthly transactions, and thirtyfold growth in monthly transaction value.

CIT Vericash’s platform is built on a low-code and no-code service builder that it says allows banks, microfinance institutions, mobile money operators and other fintechs to launch and manage services including digital banking, agency banking, mobile wallets, payments and lending.

The company said it positions itself as a long-term partner to client institutions rather than a software vendor, offering a revenue-sharing model alongside its technology.

The company delivers a seamless omnichannel financial experience by integrating mobile, USSD, web and agency banking platforms. It uses API integrations, white-label applications and super-app solutions to enhance customer engagement, streamline transactions and drive digital growth.

Its service package includes round-the-clock operational monitoring, fraud detection, business intelligence tools and support with licensing and go-to-market planning.

CIT Vericash has established partnerships with Bluechip Technologies in East Africa and with Nigeria-listed CWG Plc in West Africa, both aimed at expanding distribution of the platform.

The company said artificial intelligence is embedded across the platform’s retail, small business and corporate banking functions, including automated credit scoring, transaction risk scoring and fraud prevention tools.

Digital financial services adoption in sub-Saharan Africa has expanded significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic, as banks and mobile money operators sought to reach customers without expanding branch networks.

Analysts have pointed to demand from banks for infrastructure that can be deployed quickly across multiple markets, rather than built in-house, as a driver of growth for platform providers such as CIT Vericash.

CIT Global, the parent company, was founded in Toronto in 1993 and says it has delivered software to clients in more than 50 countries across banking, e-commerce and mobile commerce.

CIT VERICASH’s recognition as the Best Financial Services Platform 2026 highlights its growing role in the development of Africa’s fintech sector. The award places the company among financial technology firms advancing innovation across payments, digital assets, security and investment technology.

The recognition also reflects the broader growth of Africa’s fintech industry, as companies increasingly develop solutions designed around accessibility, scalability and customer needs. The sector continues to expand through the adoption of mobile financial services, open finance and artificial intelligence-powered platforms.

As competition and technological adoption increase, financial institutions are focusing on strong digital infrastructure and strategic partnerships to strengthen their capabilities and expand their services. CIT VERICASH is positioning its platform within this changing financial technology landscape, with a focus on technology, partnerships and digital financial solutions.
