Liquid C2, a business of Cassava Technologies, has signed a reseller agreement with U.S. cybersecurity firm KnowBe4 to offer employee security training and risk management tools to businesses across Africa, the companies said on Tuesday.

The agreement adds KnowBe4’s workforce security platform to Liquid C2’s Secure360 cybersecurity portfolio. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The partnership targets security risks linked to employees, including phishing emails and social engineering attacks, in which criminals manipulate people into revealing sensitive information or taking actions that compromise an organisation’s systems.

Vinay Hiralall, chief commercial officer at Liquid C2, said employees remained an important part of an organisation’s defence against cyberattacks.

He said cybersecurity had become a business continuity concern rather than simply a compliance requirement.

“At Liquid C2, we understand that employees are the first and best line of defence from cybersecurity attacks for any organisation. They are the foundation of a digitally resilient organisation. Employees need the skills and awareness to spot threats early, and by working with KnowBe4, we are strengthening the human side of our cybersecurity services.” said Vinay Hiralall, Chief Commercial Officer at Liquid C2.

“Cybersecurity is no longer just a compliance exercise, it is a business continuity imperative. Our partnership will ensure our customers have access to global cybersecurity training and an experience customised for staff at all levels of client organisations”

Under the agreement, Liquid C2 will resell KnowBe4’s platform to customers across Africa, combining employee training with the cybersecurity services it already provides.

Training and phishing simulations

KnowBe4’s platform includes security awareness training and simulated phishing exercises designed to help employees recognise suspicious messages and respond to potential threats.

The platform also offers tools covering email and collaboration security, attack simulations and risks associated with artificial intelligence systems.

KnowBe4 has expanded its products beyond conventional employee training to address security concerns involving AI agents, software systems that can perform tasks with some autonomy.

Kurt Mills, senior vice president of global channel at KnowBe4, said the agreement would help the company extend its reach through Liquid C2’s existing customer relationships and cybersecurity services.

Mills said the companies intended to combine technology-based protection with training aimed at building stronger security practices among employees.

“We look forward to working with Liquid C2 to deliver KnowBe4’s platform to even more organisations across Africa,” said Kurt Mills, SVP of global channel at KnowBe4.

“By integrating KnowBe4’s high-quality, world-class platform with our existing security services, we can now deliver comprehensive protection that combines technological safeguards with digital workforce security. This partnership represents our commitment to providing customers with the most effective methods to build a security-conscious culture and significantly reduce their human and agentic AI-related security risks.”

 Focus on African businesses

Liquid C2 said the offering would be available to small, medium-sized and large enterprises across the continent.

The company highlighted financial services, telecommunications and government as sectors where organisations need to protect sensitive information and maintain secure systems.

Customers will also have access to local billing, regional support, onboarding and compliance assistance, according to the announcement.

Liquid C2 plans to offer KnowBe4 alongside services such as managed cybersecurity and its Governance, Risk and Compliance offering. The arrangement is intended to allow customers to incorporate workforce security training into their existing security programmes.

Companies expand security offerings

KnowBe4 says more than 70,000 organisations worldwide use its products. The company focuses on workforce security, helping organisations address risks associated with employee behaviour, social engineering and the use of AI tools.

Its platform uses behavioural data to support security training and identify potential vulnerabilities in how people and AI systems interact with business information.

Liquid C2 provides cloud and cybersecurity services to businesses and public-sector organisations. It operates within the wider Liquid Intelligent Technologies and Cassava Technologies group.

The reseller agreement expands Liquid C2’s cybersecurity portfolio as businesses face threats targeting both their technology systems and employees.
