The projects, at various stages of development, span technology, critical minerals, infrastructure, energy, forestry and logistics, the embassy said.

The two countries also agreed to set up joint working groups to institutionalize the dialogue and address business-climate issues including taxation, shipping, logistics and mining sector reform ahead of a second dialogue, to be hosted by the United States in 2027.

In the critical minerals sector, Connecticut-based Tronox and Australia’s Lion Rock are advancing a $500 million rutile project, the embassy said.

New Jersey-based Hoffman Equipment’s $83 million equipment sale will support infrastructure development and technical training in Cameroon.

Taken together, the announced deals represent an estimated $7 billion in U.S.-Cameroon commercial activity and reflect growing private-sector interest in the Cameroonian market, the embassy said in the statement.

The U.S. and Cameroonian governments said they would continue working with their respective private sectors to improve the business environment and translate the dialogue into what the embassy called shared prosperity for both countries.
